Support Groups?

I noticed that my area does not have a support group for Endo Sufferers.  I would like to start one in the future, after I feel well and have the time to devote to it.  There is so little awareness in the world and so many sufferers.  Many of us are not diagnosed properly and are told the issue is in our head.  Now I am not to say that I am not a bit dafy at times but...I can attest to the fact that this condition is and was not in my head.  It was real.  I have many scars to prove it!  Eleven external and countless internal scars decorate me and my battle is not fought alone by any stretch of the imagination.

Endo-Warriors and Survivors all over the world are fighting to make a change. It is my dream to set up a foundation to help people who want to attend college and have Endometriosis.  The great issue is cash at this point.  There is so much that needs to be done and if we work at it we will make a difference one by one.

  1. Hi found you on twitter, my name is Tanushri (Tan for short). I'm 18 and a really bad endo sufferer. Nothing help and trust me when i say i have tried absolutely everything.
Going out of my mind, i've had really bad constant endo pain for nearly 3months now and my doctor or gynaecologist dont want to change treatment even though it is not working and cant suggest anything to help except painkillers but they dont work either. Can barely eat or drink and have exams coming up?
At a loss of what to do, any suggestions? Did anything help you, like doing yoga? Willing to try anything if theres a chance it might help. Thanks tan xx

  2. Hi Tan, I am so glad that found me. We Endo-sisters need to stick together. I did attend yoga classes and LOVED it! I can't wait till I am healed enough and can get back into it. It really helped me. I attend a beginner's class and did not push myself to do any pose that hurt. I talked to the instructor first and got suggestions for alternative poses too. I highly recommend yoga. It helped my stress too. One other thought, keep a journal of the foods you eat, see if you see a pattern between foods, drinks and your pain level. Wine bothered me a lot. There are endometriosis diets online that might help but I never tried them. Ask your doctor about endovan. I have seen people mention it on twitter. I don't know anything about it pesonally. Please keep in touch and let me know how you are doing. Thank you for reaching out.
